Cuyahoga Valley
Cuyahoga Valley
Spent the day exploring Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It was nice to get out and see some waterfalls and trails, but I have to say it didn’t quite feel like a national park to me. More like a really nice state park.
The Ledges
Started the morning at The Ledges trail. The rock formations were pretty cool and made for some interesting hiking. Got some good photos of the moss-covered ledges and narrow passages between the rocks.

Waterfalls
Hit a few different waterfalls throughout the day. Blue Hen Falls was tucked away on a short trail and worth the walk. Brandywine Falls was probably the most impressive of the bunch. Nice boardwalk viewing area there.

Also stopped at Great Falls of Tinkers Creek, but honestly it felt too close to the city. You could hear traffic and see buildings nearby. Didn’t really feel like you were in a national park at that point.

Other Stops
Came across a covered bridge during the drive through the park. Stopped to take a quick look. Also swung by the gift shop before heading out. Picked up a patch.
Final Thoughts
Overall it was a pleasant day trip. The trails and waterfalls were nice enough, but the whole experience felt more like visiting a collection of parks connected by roads rather than one cohesive national park. Too much development and city influence creeping in. Still glad I went though.
